BHP's FAR #1 Mine Heater Install project is part of the Ekati Diamond Mine's expansion from open pit mining operations to underground mining operations. This project consists of the installation of a heater module, fan and ducting to provide heating to the underground mining operations. Used oil from the mine site is combined with diesel and incinerated to provide the heating medium. Monad's scope of work includes all civil work from rough grade, concrete foundations, mechanical equipment and interconnecting piping installations.
