Project Description

The TransCanada Pipeline Keystone Oil Pipeline Project is TCPL's first oil transportation project and consists of a 30” & 34” diameter pipeline that spans 3,000 km from Hardisty, Alberta to Patoka, Illinois.  The pipeline includes a sending storage terminal, intermediate pipeline facilities and two receiving storage terminals with a rated capacity of 435,000 bpd.  Total capital cost is projected to be $5.2B USD.

Monad is constructing the Alberta Group 1 pump stations, the largest of four facilities construction contracts ongoing in Canada.  This group includes one storage/transfer terminal five pump stations and one interconnecting pump station.  These facilities are located near Hardisty, Lakesend, Monitor, Oyen and Blindloss, Alberta.  Construction commenced late October 2008 and is projected to be complete November 2009 and is to expend approximately 600,000 manhours at completion (both direct-hire and subcontractor).
